HERE'S THE PHONE NUMBER!
866-YOU-VENT (866-968-8368)

This is a FREE service for corrections and detention staff and their family members.

Calls for 866-YOU-VENT go to an answering service which then patches them to the Responder on duty. We do not identify callers through Caller ID.

If, however, you want to make doubly sure that your phone number will not appear on any system, dial *67 followed by 1-866-968-8368 (or dial *67 followed by 866-968-8368 when calling from a cell phone). Dialing *67 prior to a number makes your phone number unavailable to Caller ID screens. (The symbol *—star—is on the bottom left hand side of the phone keypad.)

The Corrections Ventline™ is anonymous and confidential with the following exceptions: If you provide us with identifying information, we are mandated to report child abuse, and summon help in the case of danger to self and threats of violence against others.

E-MAIL SERVICE

We also receive e-mails from corrections and detention staff and families who wish to use the Corrections Ventline? as a support system and as an outlet.

We invite you to write us at:

Our goal is for our Responders to reply to you as soon as possible, within 6 hours.

PHONE COUNSELING

Callers who want to contact a Desert Waters mental health provider for counseling need to make an appointment by calling our main office at 719-784-4727. (Please remember: If you wish to remain anonymous, dial *67 prior to the phone number, as our office has Caller ID.)

Callers can speak with a mental health provider anonymously one time for an emergency/screening call. If they wish to pursue additional counseling, the second session needs to be face-to-face at the counselor’s office. Following that, callers can resume counseling by phone. Please contact us for more details.

Through the Corrections Ventline™, we at DWCO want to offer you a "listening ear," a steadying hand, and a safe place to explore your feelings, thoughts, and options.
